Cary Morin Releases New Album FORT COLLINS COLORADO (May 10, 2013) - Cary Morin is pleased to announce the release of his acoustic blues and folk album entitled Streamline. Featuring pared-down acoustic Native Americana blues, Streamline highlights Morin's deft fingerstyle guitar talents and distinctive songwriting style and showcases Morin's decades of music experience. The album will be available June 1, 2013 on iTunes and through CaryMorin.com. Morin was born in 1962 in Billings, Mont., and spent his childhood in Great Falls before relocating to Colorado. His music career was launched in 1989 when Morin founded The Atoll, a band that toured nationally and boasted a unique, electrified world groove. Morin has continued to play with The Atoll since 1989, and also currently plays with the Pura Fe Trio and as a solo artist. Tim Duffy, president of Music Maker Relief Foundation, describes Morin as "a brilliant guitarist, heartfelt songwriter and soulful singer whose music gives us pause to reflect on life's greatest rewards." As a tribute to popular icons of the 20th and early 21st century, Fort Collins, Colo., has recently created a mural in a Fort Collins alleyway in celebration of local musicians, including Morin. This mural serves as testament to Morin's impact on music in the area and speaks to his popularity today. The Fort Collins Museum Of Discovery prominently displays one of Cary's guitars. Part of Music Maker Relief Foundation's "Next Generation Artists," Morin began working with MMRF in 2010. Through these Next Generation partnerships, MMRF is able to foster the continuation of Southern traditional music. Cary continues to work with MMRF performing and mentoring youth.
