About Us
Fostering Community Through Music
For The Record Vinyl was founded on the belief that music brings people together.
Our record shows and music events are about more than buying and selling. They create opportunities for collectors, music fans, and dealers to connect, share stories, discover new favorites, and celebrate the albums and artists that have shaped their lives.
Every event is thoughtfully curated to create the best possible experience for attendees and vendors alike. Visitors can expect knowledgeable dealers, quality merchandise, and a welcoming atmosphere where seasoned collectors and first-time crate diggers feel equally at home.
For dealers, we take a long-term approach to building successful events. Through strategic marketing, strong local partnerships, and consistent promotion, we work to attract serious buyers and create shows vendors can rely on year after year. We value professionalism, communication, and lasting relationships because strong shows are built by strong communities.
Our mission is to bring great vendors, passionate music fans, and unforgettable discoveries together under one roof.
Meet Our Founder
For The Record Vinyl was founded by Jeremy D. Bonfiglio, whose career has always centered around storytelling and music.
Before launching FTR Vinyl, Jeremy spent 26 years as a newspaper writer and editor, covering music, entertainment, and the arts. Throughout his journalism career, he interviewed hundreds of musicians, from emerging independent artists to internationally recognized performers, while developing a deep appreciation for every genre and era of recorded music.
Today, Jeremy serves as Music Category Manager at BCW Supplies, where he works with record stores, pressing plants, distributors, and collectors to develop products that protect, store, ship, and display vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and other physical media. His work keeps him closely connected to the music retail industry and collector community across North America.
That combination of journalism, music industry experience, and lifelong collecting is reflected in every For The Record Vinyl event.
At record shows, Jeremy offers a carefully curated selection of pre-owned and new vinyl. His inventory is especially strong in 1980s pop, new wave, power pop, synth-pop, college rock, and hard-to-find vinyl reissues from the alternative explosion of the 1990s.
Jeremy is widely known among collectors as a go-to source for Elvis Costello. His bins are also filled with 1980s chart-toppers, one-hit wonders, overlooked classics, and the deep cuts that reward collectors willing to dig.
Because Jeremy is constantly buying record collections, his inventory is always changing. Whether you’re hunting for a specific album or hoping to stumble upon an unexpected gem, there’s always something new to discover.
